King of Ankore
Honours the House of Kamakahelei
His Royal Majesty Idiriisa Kawesa Igumira Kitoboobo II, Omugabe w’Ankole Rubambansi, King of Ankore Kingdom, Uganda has granted HRH Prince Darrick and HRH Princess Anna admission into Ikanja Ekirunga ky’Abahinda.
They are to be styled the Most Honourable Omujwarra Enkondo, 1st IEKA (Royal Crown Knight) of the Royal Order of the Abahinda clan which was established in 1447.
In addition, HE Col. Michael Thornley, Chancellor was also awarded admission as the Most Honourable Omujwarra Enkondo of the Royal Order of the Abahinda clan.
And in honour of our friendship, HRH Prince Darrick has awarded HM the Omugabe of Ankole, Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Kamehameha I and HRH the Crown Prince Tugume Salim Idris, Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Kalakaua.
The Friendship Agreement endorses cooperation and mutual recognition between the two Royal Houses.
On the 22nd March 2021, the Royal House of Kamakahelei entered into a formal Friendship Agreement with His Majesty Omugabe Idriisa Kawesa Igumira Kitobobo II of the Kingdom of Ankole in Uganda.
