Following the parade, their Highnesses went to the Gettysburg national cemetery, where they paid tribute to those that died in the Pearl Harbor attack of WWII and were buried at Gettysburg.
They then paid respects at the national soldier’s monument for the battle of Gettysburg, a commemoration of the Gettysburg address itself, and finally a monument honoring troops from the state of Maryland -This monument is particularly striking because it depicts a Confederate and a Union soldier holding each other up.
